5 ways to get rid of Allergies Naturally. Allergies are symptomatic of compromises in your immune system. Your immune system responds adversely to pollutants in the atmosphere, such as pollens, animal hairs, dust, and certain foods, especially peanuts. Although allergies are mostly ephemeral, millions of people around the world suffer severe allergic reactions ranging from coughing, sneezing, swollen eyes, running nose, hives, rashes and a host of other symptoms. There are even reports of casualties for severe allergies. If you have suffered from allergies, you know exactly how uncomfortable they can be. Today, I am going to show you how to get rid of allergies naturally.

1.  Invest in an air purifier. Most allergens, like pollens, dust, dust mites, mold, pet hairs, feathers, furs, and others are in the air. People who are susceptible to allergic flares, or reactions fare far much better when dusts and other pollutants are eliminated, or at least kept to a minimum. This also applies to purifying the air in your car, keeping the windows of your home closed. Also, if you have activities planned for the outdoors, make sure you plan for the afternoon. The worse time of the day for spores, pollen and other allergens is the morning hours. So to avoid a flaring up of your allergies, you will be best served to plan your outdoor activities for afternoons.
2. Invest in some essential oils. One of the oils that is really helpful in fighting allergies is peppermint essential oil.  Peppermint oil not only clears up the sinuses and offer relief to itchy throats, it also acts as an expectorant and provides relief for allergies, colds, coughs, sinusitis, asthma and bronchitis. Peppermint oil has the power to discharge phlegm and reduce inflammation.
Another oil to consider is the Eucalyptus Oil. It clears up the lungs and fights sinuses. It promotes the free flow of blood in the body and also improves breathing and airflow.
3. Get rid of carpets and rugs in your home. Rugs and Carpets may look nice in your home but they have been known to be a magnet for dust, pollen, furs and other pollutants that trigger allergies. If you are susceptible to allergic flares, you will be best served using tiles or hardwood in your home.
4. Wear a face mask. Make sure you wear a face mask when you are doing anything that exposes you to allergens. Face mask are very helpful when you are sweeping, doing work out in the yard, vacuuming or even folding clothes.
5. Eat a lot of citrus fruits. Citrus fruits contain lots of anti-histamine, and antihistamines are used to fight allergies. Most of the symptoms of allergy we experience, such as tearing eyes, runny nose, and excess mucus are caused by histamines. Citrus fruits provides natural anti-histamine.
